Well, it's my birthday week (officially started August 21st)! And I'm celebrating at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, a gig with my band, indulging in more of my $10,000 wardrobe from Market HQ and a weekend getaway to Radelaide with my bestie... Phew!

This is what I wore to the opening night of Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney, which is a horrible place to spend your birthday! (I'll have a dedicated blog post about MBFF next week sometime.) Sunset Sweaters n Streets of Sydney

I bought this jumper from inlovewithfashion.com over to the States with me but alas, the sun was shining it's ass off the entire time I was here and I didn't get the chance to wear it for long. What am I talking about? Alas?? It was great!! 

I'm feeling like the oversized-sweater-jumper is going to shine this winter... It will for me anyway - there's somethng effortlessly rockin' about it. I've posted a few other ways to style the 'new' Sloppy Joe... Here and here. I'm liking both the bold and colourful approach along with the classic, sophisticated simplicity of a plain off-white-knit... Ahh now I'm gonna get stuck looking for an oversized-white-knit... Any suggestions where I should start?

This skirt is becoming a staple. Not just because it's hideously gorgeous but because  it works with everything from summer to winter. Rocker boots for swagger and heels for a classic line. Black tights for the cooler months and a denim cut-off tank for the heat.

August Girl

It was my birthday yesterday and it turns out that if you put your birthday wishlist on your blog you'll probably get everything you wished for... I'm a very lucky girl!

I got the orange iPad tote / clutch that I was dreaming of... AND an iPad to go with it!! Teamed it with my fave studded jacket and a trusty old little black dress (that I actually wear backwards cause I love the racer-back neckline and zipper in front!) and voila.

I'm actually celebrating properly in a few weeks and currently working on an outfit.

I did however make myself a birthday cake (of course!) and some pictures are coming tomorrow!

Minty Meets Munt

Can't get enough of Minty Meets Munt lately... 

So I thought I'd take you on a tour of one of my fave little shops.

So I've been imagining these boots for the past few months, having no idea they actually existed until I saw them in the window of Minty Meets Munt. I was working out which credit card to max but my bestie Jacqui talked me out of it... She naughtily snuck back there to buy them AND the gorgeous floppy boho hat as an early birthday present.

I ask you, what better friend can a girl have that one that gives her boots like THESE?!

I am so lucky.
